Come learn about and explore all things Maritime, and get a head start on career pathways, summer internships and more!

Who: High School aged students, Teachers, Counselors.
*We ask that there be at least one chaperone for each 10 students*
What: Join us for a day of exploration, hands-on learning and discovery! Find out what Maritime is all about!
When: Thursday, March 26th 2020 @ 9:30AM - 1:30PM
Where: Seattle Maritime Academy, 4455 Shilshole Ave NW, Seattle, 98107
Why: The Maritime industry is a pillar of the state's economy that encompasses a wide-range of career opportunities, including the utilization of the latest technologies.
How: RSVP online by March 18th to attend.
Each participant (student and chaperone) must bring a completed copy of our Hold Harmless and Media Release forms on the day of the event. These PDF forms can be found on this page and will also be emailed to you after you register. Please bring your lunch.

Q. Is lunch provided?
A. Unfortunately, no. Please bring your lunch.
Q. Is this event open to students of all ages?
A. Unfortunately, no. At this time we are focusing on students in grades 9 through 12.
Q. Can I send my students to the event without a chaperone? There will be tons of other adults there.
A. Due to the nature of rotating around activity stations at the event and for safety reasons we require each registered group to have a student to chaperone ratio of at least Ten to One.
Q. Is this an outdoor or indoor event?
A. This event is held both indoors and outdoors and will take place rain or shine. Please make sure to dress accordingly for the weather that day. Seattle weather is fairly fickle in March so come prepared!
Q. Is lunch provided?
A. Lunch will not be provided but there will be snacks available to all participants and chaperones.
Q. Do you have to have previous experience or knowledge of the maritime industry?
A. Absolutely not. This is a great event for those just learning about maritime and marine science and will help expand on those with previous interest.
Q. Will there be parking available/ drop off space for busses.
A. Yes. There is public parking in front of Seattle Maritime Academy. We will have space set aside for buses and group transportation on the day of the event.
